Your shoes will have a longer useful life, saving you money. They will also become slightly tighter temporarily, similar to how they were when first purchased, with the rubber softening after a few sessions. As the leather is previously stretched, you will enjoy more time with your already broken-in shoes.
A resole will last about the same time your original shoe sole – usually between 3-9 months. This depends on your frequency of use, your footwork, which includes kicking and dragging, as well as the thickness and texture of the rubber.
While uncommon, delamination can and does occur. Mistakes happen! We are happy to work with you to fix small problem areas that arise with your resole. However, if it is not our work/resole delaminating, we will charge you a small fee.
We maintain the aggressive (downturned) or asymmetrical (turned in) nature of the shoe intact with custom molds and pressure techniques.
We offer various rubber compositions. Vibram™ includes 'Grip,' which is a supportive rubber, 'XS Edge' which is a hard rubber great for edging, and 'XS Marchiata' (aka 'XS Flash') which is new to the market. It is a flexible rubber meant specifically for gym climbing.
Recently added to the arsenal is Unparallel™, formerly the team from 5.10. We carry RH 4.2, which offers precision for edging as well as stickiness, and RS 3.5 which is a softer and grippier compound.
Do you have other rubber recommendations? Let us know!
If you are located in the Berkeley/Oakland/El Cerrito/Alameda area, we organize personal pickups and drop-offs throughout the week, or at the East Bay gyms. San Fransisco is limited to large group orders (5 pairs or more,) and gym visits once a month, usually on athe first Saturday of the month.
No! Send in your shoes before holes in the sock forms.
